Hostal La Hiedra

"La Hiedra" is an ecological boutique hotel located in a California-style colonial mansion in the heights of the Vista Alegre neighborhood. The residential area is considered the quietest, shadiest, and coolest in Santiago de Cuba. The house is located two blocks from the Casa del Caribe and three blocks from the Bacardí Palace. In its surroundings, there are several recreational centers and gyms, art galleries (Caguayo Foundation, Ceramics, Aguilera), museums (Popular Religions, Image, Music), live music areas, shops, and some of the most renowned restaurants in the city. The hostel has lush greenery in the courtyard, where the Tea Park is located. In a jungle-like environment, there is the guest kitchen and outdoor tables where a highly qualified chef serves lunch and dinner. Breakfast is also offered, highly regarded by many customers. Our kitchen receives frequent praise on TripAdvisor. Most of the fruits and vegetables consumed come from the hostel itself. We have five highly productive vegetable gardens where vegetables, herbs, and fruits are organically grown for the guests' direct consumption. We greatly appreciate customers participating in the sowing or harvesting of vegetables and enjoying them at dinner. We have replaced the "Kilometer Zero" philosophy with "Millimeter Zero".
